What You Need to Know About Having A Photographer Come to Your Home
We don’t care about the mess. To be honest, my house is probably messier than yours right now.
Natural light is my friend. The first thing I will be looking for is light. Where are the windows in your home? Please do not turn on additional lights. For the most part, I will try to only use natural light during our session.
3. These are not posed studio pictures, these are lifestyle pictures. We are capturing you as you are in your home. We want moments that are authentic and genuine. So please do not put the baby next to the expensive and fragile china that your grandmother gave you. It is weird and you wouldn’t normally put your baby here so why start now? Let’s keep it very natural. If you guys are normally on the floor playing, let’s get on the floor and let’s play. If your baby loves to be on his back, then we will do that. But we are not going to force the baby to do anything they don’t want to, and we are not going to put you or your baby on or near anything you wouldn’t normally be.
4. Wear comfortable clothing. I want you to be comfortable and relaxed. So drink a glass of wine if it helps. Ask me questions. I want this to be a good and fun shoot for you as well!
5. Let me know if there is anything I can do to make this a more pleasant experience for you. I normally ask if I need to take my shoes off when I enter. And I typically apply sanitizer before and after leaving your home. I also check my temp daily but if there is anything else I can do to help make you more comfortable, please let me know.
I hope these tips are helpful! And I cannot wait for our next session!
